After being failed by the age-old saying "sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me," I decided to rewrite the adage with advice that you could count on - only after a beat down on the playground, of course. I hope that through my ridiculous, uncanny, and sometimes regrettable experiences, you too can look back and laugh at your own situations as I have.

Bowser and Chika - photo by Christine Medina |
I love being creative, practicing yoga, playing guitar, and going on adventures with my husband and two Shiba Inus, Bowser and Chika. Live comedy and live music rock my socks, and I'm always making attempts to be earth-friendly and consumer-conscious. My sisters call me "Earth Mother." I buy organic groceries and drive a 2001 Ford Focus named Fabio. I'm hoping someone will steal him so I can buy a Subaru and officially complete being a Pacific Northwest stereotype. Don't worry - I already gave up wearing socks with sandals.
